    Hi all,
    I am a new member.
I grew up on a small farm in central Mn. In the winter we hauled manure with an old John Deere B that was not a good cold weather starter so one day I decided to utilize my saddle horse to pull a manure sled. I so much preferred this method that with the help of a older neighbor who had a lot of left over old harness we put toghether an harness for my 15hand gleding. That was the last time a tractor was used to clean barn during the winter months until I left home, dad was not and still is not a fan of horses.
Last year, thirty years later, I purchased mu first team of draft horses. A team of Percheron Mares named Fancy and Karla. We started out slow but were able to dig, disk drag and seed a few acres and rake some hay. I am hoping to slowly increase the acreage that the team and I undertake but with a full time job it is limited.
In addition to my team I recently purchased my first mule, a 14 hand molly for riding.

As the tractor enthusiasts would tell you “you’ve crossed over to the dark side”. No engines roaring and exhaust belching but we like it here 😮 Welcome to DAPNet.

Oh yes, if you’re so inclined, put your marker on our map. We need some more folks out side of the northeast:p
