ParticipantI will try anything worst cold I’ve had in years. This is about the only time I’m glad I sold my cows. Don’t feel much like milking for 5-6hours then feeding. Eli

ParticipantI built mine but it’s not to fancy. Eli

ParticipantWhen you approach her and she walks away you do the same in the opposite direction, when she stops do the same thing over repeat a few times and you will be able to catch her. It may take a few times but it worked for me. My horse was impossible to catch and my daughter would catch her like this. I would chase my horse for an hour. And she could catch her in no time. So finally I gave in and did it her way (natural horsemanship) and now she is easy to catch. She is into Parelli and this kid has amazing horse skills. She is 15 and breaking her 3rd horse. Eli

ParticipantI don’t think I would have donated anything to join. I would have figured it was a scam. I wouldn’t have a problem now with a small donation I under stand things cost money. Also a foaling thread or just more pictures and stories of horses would interest me I know this is not a big pet sight but I think many of us think of our animals as more than just work animals. Keep up the good work and good luck. Eli

ParticipantI met a fire truck pumping water buy a creek lots of flashing lights but no siren it was 3 miles to get around so I kept going. My horse didn’t like it one bit and the closer we got the faster she went. Thank god I had gypsy our then 20 year old Morgan she didn’t break trot but she was moving. It was two years ago and I was green, I’m still green I must have been yellow then. I wonder if the local fire department has a protocol for meeting horses we have kids ride buy and I would hate to see something bad happen. I glad all turned out well for both of us. Eli

ParticipantWhen I go in the woods I bring a gun unless I’m riding my horse I hear a lot of coyote but seldom see them. I have seen plenty of bloody spots where they ate a deer. My neighbor hunts them shoots half dozen a year.I don’t trap but never thought about being more likely to trap the timid ones. It is a little unnerving when bow hunting and they start making a lot of noise and you have to walk across a 20 acre swamp in the dark. Eli

ParticipantOn the tractor size ones half of the teeth are removed to accommodate minimum tillage. Basically chizel plowed corn stalks. Eli

ParticipantI used a tractor drawn cultimulcher any time I wasent happy with the seed bed after the field cultivator it always worked for me. We mostly used it when we planted alfalfa or red beets. It’s an awesome tool. I never regretted buying new equipment. Eli

ParticipantI am fortunate to have friends and neighbors like this. I try to make it a two way street and thank them often. However its kinds funny most people think my truck is theirs because they use it so much people even asked my son why he was driving Mikes (my neighbor) truck. It happens so much i don’t even try to explan I just smile. Good people you can trust with anything. Just call me lucky.

ParticipantSo my neighbor comes over sees that I’m working on the mower and says wy don’t you just use our old McCormick sitting is the back of the tractor shed. He said it worked when they put it away I can see it and it looks like a 5 foot bar steel wheels it is about 1/2 burried in awesome stuff wagon wheels, 3 walking plows, hay grapple he said we can dig it out in spring. Needs a pole the one on it was cut for a tractor. I think I’m going to put the mower on the back burner untill I see what I need for the old McCormick. In between I will dream about a new I&J. Eli
