    Mark,

I was just guessing 8 hp considering the trailing mowing machines on the market are using 5 hp Honda’s to power a 7′ sickle bar.

I have a 8hp Honda I pulled off a snow blower that was scraped and use it for my wood splitter. Way more power than I need but it was free and in excellent condition.

    Jean,

Have you got a copy of this document? Could you forward it on to me when you get a chance. Does anyone have any other input? Are we forgetting anything?

    How are the registrations coming?

    Mark,

Are you looking to just run a tedder? Or maybe some other impliment in the future? I would guess an 8hp honda would do it, though that is just a guess. I will be interested in what you come up with.

    Evan,

I did see somewhere a McCormick Deering riding cultivator converted to single horse application by attaching a set of shafts off to one side so the cultivator would straddle the row crop. Maybe it was on u-tube?

    Jay,

You may participate if you wish. There should be plenty of work to do in the woods. Jen will not have a single there so we may need horses to twitch to the landings.

Bradley Teeter would be better to chat with as he and Joe Zorin are working to lay out the cut.

Thanks for starting the thread Andy. I would add that partnerships with other regional organizations are important and one criteria regarding event planning should be that the organization should share several or all of DAPNet’s goals.

I think we have been doing much of what you have discussed to some extent but we need to refine the approach. A written checklist or some sort of event document could be drafted identifying whether a proposed event is in line with our overall mission. Perhaps Tim Harrigan’s cube diagram might be helpful.

Thank you Carl. I had not seen that before. I just wanted to make sure it was not going to interfere with his mobility. It does not appear to bother him.
