ParticipantIs anyone looking for anything special? I am heading to the auction this weekend providing we do not have a hurricane headed our way 🙂

ParticipantThanks for the replies. As you all thought, they have worked it out and even stand in the same stall together every once in a while.

ParticipantWhere does the pooper scooper go?

ParticipantThat is a neat set up. What do you think the application rate is with that per acre?

ParticipantJulie,
I bought the front caster wheel from Grainger Co. and was dissapointed with it. It was $130.00 and it broke the second time out with it. I think it would work ok for flat ground but I used it on some fresh plowed ground that was uneven and it snalpped the wheel hub out.
I had a cast iron wheel kicking around and fabricated that on to the swivel caster frame that I originally purchased. It is a much stronger arangement.
You can see the new cast wheel here

ParticipantThanks Mitch, I hope things are dry up in Maine. We have had a lot of rain lately and had to put off planting the last week or two. It was nice to see the sun for a couple of days.
I hope all is well with you.

ParticipantI planted them by hand but did cut the furrow with a tractor. Then covered them with the discs on the tool bar.
We tried some reds this year and the old standby Kennebeks.
The chicks are growing like crazy. Hope to get them out of the chicken tractor soon so they can run around the pen.
We want to get the pumkins in too this weekend.
We are picking up two piglets from Mark Cowdrey tommorow morning.
