Carl I concur with your assessment but feel that the two groups should be separated! And I also feel that the draft wood program should be involved with certifying our products, as should some program be involved with certifying the farm side of things! Its been my experience that this helps separate us from the big boys.

Yes Rick there is! We have a large amount of craft shops in the area that handle those type of materials and you could allso find local craftsmen to manufactor the finished pice and market that through this orgainisation! That way you are allso helping out other small shops in your area!

We have some very steep craggy valleys here in mo and the job we are working now they threw all the trees down into these valleys! So I am in the proses of building a movable capstan winch on a sled that we can move from area to area to extract the logs out of these valleys and then twich them to the landing! hopefully this will save a lot of ware and tare on the horses! I am looking to use Scott bull type rope as cable we will see what happens Lancek

Yes a lot of people are ignorant but latly I have been amazed at the amount of people that are interested in what we do! A lot of the local farmers are asking quistions on how are the horses to work with and are they able to do a lot of work? And what it cost to feed and take care of the animals, when they here the cost of feed and what they will do I allways get the comment hay mabee there is a place for a team on my farm! Look out jhon dear:D:D

I agree with mnmule when I moved to mo I went through Ill they stomped me at the border and made me turn around and go back and get one or face a 5,000.00 fine! Now I had to get the test and return two weeks later well I had to board the hose the only place I could find was a friends that had four horse and she didn’t no anything about the coggens test so her horses weren’t tested ether so by putting them in with the other hoses I could have easily got him infected but the vet thought it was perfectly fine to do this in fact he suggested it to me noing full well that my friends horses had never been tested
