ParticipantThat’s what I was hoping to do but she has a foal on her. If the foal is doing well we will wean her at 4 months but that after scarlet is home I will double check my math. Who knows for little extra it may be worth bringing them back if I end up with a better team. I will talk to Ernie to see what he thinks. Eli

ParticipantHow old is the foul? The Amish have delt with foul before. They would tell you if it would be doable. She has to go back to work sometime.

ParticipantI was supposed to send my horse to an Amish horse trainer to finish her training but she has a sore foot. She is six and never was lame or sick in any way, I’m kind of disappointed I feel like I have been waiting forever. All in time. Eli

ParticipantI finally brought scarlet to the Amish for training I hope all goes well. They were finishing up plowing some sod with 4 Belgians on a 1 bottom plow he said 2 can pull it once they are in shape. Super nice family I have high hopes. Eli

ParticipantJust a little update scarlet has been in training for a month now and is doing super. She is in better shape than ever. Saturday she was part of a 6 abreast hitch pulling a disk. Ernie has driven her single double triple and part of a 6 abreast hitch. She is much calmer, most likely because Earnie and his Father and Brother are very calm people. I hope to bring her home next week end. I still hope to buy the Halflinger/Belgian and cut hay this summer. But time will tell. I had hoped to do a little field work this spring but it didn’t work out. I have been busy building a cultimulcher all I need is the pole. Eli
