Hey all,
I am in the process of moving to Southeast PA about 40 minutes from Lancaster, PA. As everyone is well aware, Lancaster County is dominated by the Amish and other Anabaptist groups who are well-known for farming with horses. Every spring they host mud sales which are basically big auctions to help out the volunteer fire departments in Lancaster County. I am looking to build my inventory of horse-drawn equipment and this seems like the perfect situation to do so. Has anyone been to one of these sales before? What did you find? How competitive was the bidding on horse-drawn stuff?
