ParticipantThis evening I went out to feed my three horses like I do every evening. I went to feed my clyde/belg cross and I noticed his being a little lame on one of his hind feet so I brought him into the breezeway in the barn where its dry and went and got a bucket of water out of the creek and washed all of his feet. When I washed his back right one his fetlock is severely swollen and sore, and very warm from the inflamation. So I. Proceded to clean his stall and instead of letting him roam like normal like my others I stalled him tonight and I gotta call the vet out in the morning if its no better. Couldn’t have came at a better time when work slows to almost a halt and I’m in the process of building my home lol that’s the way it goes. But I pray it nothing severe and a inflamation shot and a cold press while kept stalled won’t fix. I hope it turns out well.

ParticipantWell I went and checked on Samson early this morning and his foot was still pretty bad so I called the vet and he told me to put a hot compress on his fetlock twice a day untill the beginning of the week and if he can’t put anymore weight on it by then he will come out and check it out. He is a little better about putting weight on it I noticed so that’s good. But that’s all I have for now ill update as I can. Thank you John for the good wishes. I’m sure all he did was twist it or somethin but it scared me lol

ParticipantSamsons foot is a lot better today. Still a little swollen but I thinks he’s gonna be fine. He’s favoring quite a bit still but I believe hell be just fine in a little while. We made a little pouch to put on his ankle with big handwarmers in it for a compress lol
