Registered. Grey. Full sisters. 16.2h and built like tanks. Canadian breeding. I have used these mares as a lead team in my four up all summer. I have put them on all types of farm equipment, mower, reaper binder, spreader and have done well. The previous owner of ten years did nothing but rides with them. Never line drove them, never had them apart. They are a team. My daughter and her friends ride them all over, including the night parade at Addison County Field Days. Right through the midway with all the lights people and noise bare back. These kids are 8 & 9. My daughter has driven them to many jr wins this season in the show ring. They move perfectly together in a walk, trot, swinging, and backing. These mare’s will back a wagon into anywhere the driver is capable of. They have the snap that can get things done and have no quit. This team is a team. They have been together forever and don’t like to be apart. They are 11 & 12. I would take these anywhere and do anything with them. I would say they are not a team for a novice. They are a farriers dream. Never been in stocks and stand perfectly. I had a light horse farrier shoe the front of them at a fair after one ripped her shoe off in a obstacle course bridge. He was not real excited about it at first but when he got done he was amazed at how well they stood. If you are looking for a pair that has what it takes, here they are. And boy do they have road gear, never break the trot either.
Asking $4000 or make me an serious offer. Only going to sell these mares to someone that is going to use them. They are way too good to be “ornaments” These horses are rock solid and ready to go to work all day. They have never had grain here and keep very fit.
    Please call with any questions.

    hi andre,

i was wondering if they would be at the NAPFD this year. have you ever tried to drive them single. it’ would be nice to be able to use one single if the situation called for it.

Never used them single. They have never been out of sight of each other. They are a team. I have had success in the past getting pair bonded horses to feel comfortable working alone. These two are a pair for sure. I could tell you anything that you wanted to hear, that is not me. But on the other hand, if someone wants a pair to do everything with this is a serious team. If they were six inches taller and still dappled they wouldn’t be for sale. Other than my uncles Chief & Spud pair (also full siblings for sale) I have never seen a pair so well matched in stride. Trot, walk, back and swinging the pole in place.
They will not be at the field days. I am bringing my pair of three year olds that were there last year and my other pair of mares. I have one three year old mare that will be there for sale. I could bring them if anyone is really interested. My main thing is that they need to go to someone that needs a pair to work. I am willing to make a deal with the right “hands” No explanation needed

These mares have found a new home where they have a job with a quality and capable teamster.
