Black Belle Farm Fun Day ~ May 12, 2012 (Virginia)

The Old Dominion Draft Horse and Mule Association (http://www.oddhma) is pleased to announce the Black Belle Farm Fun Day that is being held May 12th at Billy Slingerland’s Farm, 17345 Greens Corner Road, in Culpeper, VA. We have been working hard to get the farm ready, setting up an obstacle course (ridden and driven), pole bending, barrel racing, bushhogging a path around the property for riding and driving, a plow area is …available for those wishing to plow or disc to work their horses and provide demonstrations to the general public. We will have stick horse races, bean bag toss, pinata and additional games for the kids. This event is open to the public. We will be supplying hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring a potluck dish to share with everyone. We enjoy good home cooked food and we have some terrific cooks!

This is a fun day to socialize with your fellow draft enthusiasts and we are looking forward to seeing everyone. We have had many inquiries of people coming to watch us work our animals as many say they don’t have this opportunity often. Let’s make it a great day for everyone!

We will also be collecting auction items for our annual benefit auction at Junior and Mary Haney’s Pleasant View Farm Fun Day on June 16, 2012. Please bring an item…..this is our largest fundraiser.
