InactiveI am new to driving horses and I am trying to wrap my head around all the different harness companies and options out there. I have access to new Smuckers Harnesses at cost but I am not sure of the quality, or if their products are appropriate for the intended use. I have noticed that this company is mentioned in literature but didn’t see much information on the company on this site. My plan is to do some logging and other farm related work with my team in the future so I want to make sure that I get something that will be appropriate for that type of work.

ParticipantJohn:
You may want to check out past threads on d-ring harnesses and their advantages for farming and logging. Altough I bought my harnesses used, I get all my harness supplies from Zimmerman’s Harness in PA (717-354-5667). They do excellent quality work and are relatively inexpensive.
