ParticipantHere is a video on how to embed a picture directly in your post using a photo posting site such as Picasa, Flickr or Photo Bucket. All these sites are free.
There are several advantages to embedding a photo in your post (compared with attaching a photo):
1. you don’t have to scroll back and forth between the posts and the photos.
2. the photos tend to be larger.

ParticipantGeorge, That is a good explanation! To add, the same way George describes you can post photo’s from your own website (or others), weblog, add’s, etc, as long as “copy URL” is allowed.
For example I picked up the add from the top right of this page, by right clicking on it:
