Found myself a Walking Plough which was made at the IHC works in Hamilton, Ontario, just don’t know when. I can’t identify this in any of the Wendel books or online. Stamping says McCormick Deering V302B made in Hamilton. She wasn’t even three mile away from the original plant in someones backyard. Any help on identifying this so I can get the correct paint colour would be much appreciated. Not sure if this green is original or not.
The IH Paint Committee Decision in 1927 calls for plows to be Red, White and Blue, so if this green paint is original, the plow pre-dates this decision.
Some advice was that this could be a praire plow due to the long wings on the moldboards. It could be a Brush-breaker similar to some others shown in Wendel’s book.
