ParticipantWanted to let folks know about this workshop coming up in mid-November. This four day event covers a wide range of topics, including forest ecology, basics of working with animals and small machinery in the woods, safety, home firewood production as well as commercial applications, and more. There is also a separate chainsaw safety course offered over the weekend at the same location, with is in Unity, ME at MOFGA’s campus. The workshop is reasonably priced and gives participants the opportunity to get their hands on the lines with small teacher to student ratios and lots of personal instruction. For more details, see MOFGA’s website or contact me and I can fill you in. Space is limited and is the workshop is nearly full so get in touch ASAP if you are interested.

ModeratorThis is an awesome weekend and I will add one more thing about the weekend, the food alone is worth the price 🙂 I enjoyed both of my trips to LIF and hope to do it again sometime in the future.
