For a long time I’ve been reading y’alls posts and thinking about horses. Have worked with someone here in the midwest to find a suitable team. The deal is going down! 🙂

Tom and Henry will arrive before long and I’ll be full of questions.

Without your knowing it, you all have sold me on the D ring harness which seems to be uncommon here. Would you suggest I start out with such a harness?? Cause I need to purchase one . . .

I can feel the excitement:). Congratulations. Ask away but to maximize the info here don’t forget to use our “search” option to find previous posts on some topics as well.

As far as D-ring goes. If you can fit it in your budget, great but IMHO use what you can afford to start with. What have Tom and Henry been using up to now? Is that available?

    Enjoy.

Congratulations! Very exciting. Please post pictures when you can. I would go with a D-Ring for a team every time. They are not more expensive than other harnesses, especially in biothane. If you buy from the amish, make sure you send them measurements so you get a good fit. They don’t use them and therefore don’ always have the right proportions on the front traces. But if the team comes with harness at a great deal, take it. You can always switch over later. You’re gonna want to take them out for a test drive, right away, lol!

Congratulations I only have one horse that I bought last year and it was the best decision I’ve made. Its much more peaceful and enjoyable than using my tractor. And the folks on this forum don’t get any kinder or more helpful so don’t be afraid to ask questions I haven’t been on here long but I couldn’t ask for more kindness. Good luck on your new team!
