InactiveIt’s that time of year again! We hope you will join us for
Stonewall Farm’s 13th Annual Sap Gathering Contest
Saturday, March 24th, 2012.
10am to 4pm
242 Chesterfield Road, Keene, NH 03431Stonewall Farm is happy to host our annual sap gathering course. Draft Teams take turns on our timed course
and are scored on efficiency, control, and amount of sap collected.• Download and application
to participate in the event. We ask that draft teams
be well-mannered. Teams will consist of a teamster, two horses, and two helpers.
•Due to time constraints, we will only be able to accept the first twenty (20) team applications.
•Out-of-state teams must present a negative Coggins Test certificate within six months of the event in order
to comply with state regulations.
•Stonewall Farm must be listed on your liability insurance policy and a copy sent to us with your application.
•You will receive a confirmation that your application has been accepted in March, 2012. At that time, you will
also receive the rules and sample score sheets.
•All participants will receive a ribbon and top performers will receive trophies.
•Sap sleds will be provided but feel free to bring your own exercise cart and sap sled.
•You will have the opportunity to participate in an obstacle course throughout the day.
•There is no entry fee for participating teams.
•Spectators over the age of six will be asked to pay a $5 admission fee. Stonewall Farm members will be charged $3.
• In addition to the contest, there will be backyard sugaring demonstrations, tours of our sugarhouse, hayrides,
and food for sale.
•On-site parking will be available for teamster’s truck and trailor only. Parking space is limited so any other vehicles will be asked to park at Alumni Field. A shuttle will provide transportation to Stonewall Farm. $5 spectator fee applies, no walk-ins are allowed.
•Dogs will not be allowed on the Farm for the duration of the event.
