ParticipantHi there,
I’ve been involved in organic vegetable production for several years now and have some livestock experience as well. This season, I hope to apprentice with a sustainable grower who can show me the ins and outs of draft horses and managing a farm. Eventually, my goal is to run my own draft powered farmstead and supply myself as well as my community with food. I’m also interested in biodynamics, preserving food, herbalism, natural building, bees, mushrooms, fermentation and milk goats.
I do have a sweet, well behaved dog who has been around farm animals. Jazzy was adopted as a pup and is a huge momma’s girl.
I’d prefer an arrangement that was more long term. I’m available from early spring and am free to stay on as long as there is work and learning to be done. Currently, I live in northern Vermont but am willing to travel for the right oppurtunity. I am free to talk and visit farms! If you know of an apprenticeship of farm you think I should check out for this year, I’d love suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Much Love,
