InactiveSkijoring looks like a blast. I used to ski cross-country a lot. The closest I’ve ever come to this was when I was stationed in Germany. I was out skiing the trails in our local training area called Tennelohe Forest. Some of my buddies were out doing driver training in an APC (Tracked Armored Personnel Carrier). We hooked a rope to the pintle hitch and they gave me a tow. Downhill skis or a snowboard would have been much better for the task, but it was heck of a lot of fun. Well, at least it was until we went around a sharp turn and I got sprayed with a rooster-tail of mud from the tracks and hit a tree.:D
I imagine that the most important thing to remember when skiing behind a horse is to avoid the brown moguls;)March 4, 2009 at 4:33 am #47744Robert MoonShadow
ParticipantNo, I think it’d be to avoid “becoming one with…” the brown moguls, not just getting them on your skis. 🙁
