ModeratorI have a pair of freshly bathed steers, a pot of chicken soup (and yes one of the birds is a Dominique), 100 DAPNet brochures with the new logo, a just fixed stone boat and some guy named Carl said that not only can I use his truck and trailer, but also that he would help me load his Les Barden Log Cart in the morning. I am so fortunate to have such good neighbors. The steers and I are rather soft but I have been working them a little each day all week and today we hooked into a few sticks of spruce so we are good to go as long as we pace ourselves. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

ParticipantTHANK YOU EVERYBODY. That was an amazing day of pulling. And to think there were no real mishaps (did Jen get her shoe back?) We pulled out enough wood to heat Ted and Nancy through most of next winter and got some great publicity for DAPnet. We couldn’t have done it without you all. Thanks so much!
Anybody interested in a winter version? Down hill skid?May 20, 2012 at 12:19 pm #72669Ed Thayer
ParticipantSome Pictures of the Spring Wood Bee. Thanks to all the volunteers who participated. Especially those on the landing who cut, split and moved every stick of wood 4 teams of horses and 2 teams of steers could pull to them. We had a wonderful pot luck lunch and an opportunity to spend time with old friends and new. I had a great day and left the event with a very gratifying feeling.

ParticipantThanks for the great day. I could have stayed home and worked on my own wood, but then I wouldn’t have gotten to see so many great teams in action. Nice to meet you all.

ParticipantWell – Thank you all who contributed to the raffle held at the wood bee. I’m touched and my heart is warmed by your generosity. I hope to “pay it forward” when the opportunity presents itself.

ParticipantGreat publicity for DAPnet last night on Chronicle. It was a blast to watch and I think they got some great shots and put it together well. They showed how inclusive it is to work this way, showing everybody;s contributions. I can’t wait for it to be available online so I can watch it again. I’ll post up a link as soon as I find it.
you’re welcome for the raffle Geoff. We had a fun time doing it and I’m sure you’d have done the same.June 15, 2012 at 2:39 am #72656jen judkins
